Career Coaching

Career coaching for experienced professionals navigating change, misalignment, and uncertain direction - with clarity, confidence, and control.

Benefitting from decades of lived experience navigating change in complex organisations - insight that informs how I guide clients through career challenges.

You’ve built experience. You’ve progressed. Delivered. Taken on more responsibility.

But at some point, your role stopped feeling like progression and started feeling like maintenance.

You may have experienced:

  • Staying longer than intended in roles that felt comfortable, but are no longer supporting growth
  • You’re no longer doing the work you’re actually good at - you’re coordinating, reviewing, sitting in meetings, keeping things moving.
  • Working in environments where data or AI was not fully understood, or where ambition and reality didn’t align
  • Restructures, shifting priorities, or unclear leadership that made direction difficult to hold onto
  • Roles that looked right on paper - but didn’t fit once you were inside them
  • Situations where contribution and hard work was delivered, but recognition or ownership did not always follow in the way you expected.
  • Organisational and political dynamics that influenced outcomes in ways that were not always visible
  • A drift towards work that no longer reflects your strengths or values

Now you’re at a point where continuing as before doesn’t feel right. You can’t keep going as you are. But the next move isn’t obvious either.

This is where I can help.

If this resonates, the next step is a short conversation. Fill in the form below and I will get back to you.

How coaching works

Coaching provides a structured space to step back from day to day pressure and make sense of where you are now.

Together we will:

  • Clarify where your strengths are currently being used and where they are not
  • Identify patterns in your career that have shaped your current position
  • Explore realistic options based on your experience, constraints, and priorities
  • Rebuild direction based on what fits you now, not just what came before
  • Turn insight into practical next steps, with structure and accountability

This is not about generic career advice. It is about working with the reality of experienced careers inside complex organisations.

Moving forwards

You may already know the direction you want to take and need a partner to keep you on track.

Or coaching can provide the space to pause, reflect, and explore what comes next; helping you move forward with confidence and control.

About Me

After decades working in corporate technology roles. I now focus on coaching professionals navigating change.

Over time, I began to notice recurring patterns in how careers evolve inside organisations: strong professionals gradually moving away from their core strengths, roles drifting into coordination rather than creation.

My own career has included a wide range of technical and leadership roles across software engineering, data, and AI. Along the way I have worked in environments ranging from highly mature technical organisations to those still developing their data capability.

I have also experienced first hand the challenges that can arise in these environments, including misaligned incentives, organisational change, ethical tension, and the gap between capability and organisational understanding.

Rather than viewing these as isolated events, I now recognise these as system level patterns that shape how technical careers evolve inside organisations.

Professional Perspective

My background combines technical depth with systems level thinking across:

  • Large scale software and data systems design and delivery
  • Agile and product oriented delivery environments
  • Responsible and ethical use of technology in organisations

These experiences help me hold structured, grounded coaching conversations and ask questions that support reflection on how work, organisational context, and career trajectories interact.

How I work with clients

My approach is non-directive and reflective.

I support and collaborate with clients to:

  • explore their current situation in depth
  • notice patterns in how their work and roles have evolved
  • reflect on what feels aligned and what no longer does
  • generate their own insights about possible directions forward
  • move toward decisions that feel grounded and self-owned

The emphasis is on structured reflection, not advice.

All coaching sessions are strictly confidential and undertaken in accordance with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics
